Game of the People supports local charity
Posted on April 11, 2017
WE ARE delighted to announce that Game of the People is supporting the Humanitas charity and will donate all proceeds paid to the website for its online content.
GOTP is asked, almost daily, to carry advertising for gambling, financial services and other content marketing projects. We are absolutely against any form of gambling and we have resisted the opportunity to make considerable amounts of money from linking-up with some major companies and websites. We stand firm on this.
However, we have been considering a number of options and we have decided to support a charity which we feel is relevant and worthwhile.
Humanitas aims to provide long-term, professional support to individuals in areas suffering from devastating poverty around the world. This involves helping to build schools and providing relief for the sick.
As well as donating all GOTP proceeds (which will come in the form of donations from users of the site’s articles) we are also providing editorial support to the charity as needed.
GOTP has grown considerably over the past five years and is now ranked among the most go-to football blog/websites in Europe. We want to leverage this to raise awareness of a worthy charity that deserves our support.
