Swansea’s excellent start to the season – ok, they’ve beaten two London makeweights, QPR and West Ham – suggests that the momentum built up in 2011-12 by Brendan Rodgers, can be continued by Michael Laudrup. The way Swansea play, all very fluid and vibrant, should keep them well away from danger this season – confounding many of the critics who felt that it would be difficult to maintain their progress. With Scott Sinclair on his way out of Swansea and Rodgers now installed at Liverpool, plus the sneaking suspicion that the Welshmen (are there any in their team?) may “get found out” this time, not many people fancied the Swans.
